Let's Go Back to the Bible

You missed a restoration on Sunday night

In following the Lord’s explicit commands, which cannot be rightfully ignored (Matt. 18:15-20; 1 Cor. 5:1-13; 2 Thess. 3:6-15), the Lord’s church withdrew fellowship from LW on Sunday morning. Eight hours later, LW responded to the Lord’s invitation and was restored to the Lord and His church. A few thoughts come to mind.

First, thank God for forgiveness (Jas. 5:19-20)! Second, thank God for His church behaving like a loving body concerned about each other (1 Cor. 12:12-27)! Third, doing what God commands is always the right thing to do (Hos. 14:9)! Fourth, failing to obey “hard” things (like withdrawing fellowship) distances us from the Lord and His eternal words (John 6:60-68)! Fifth, doing what God commands led directly to LW being restored (1 Cor. 5:4-5; 2 Thess. 3:14)! Sixth, LW needed his church family to “reaffirm” their love to him on Sunday night (2 Cor. 2:5-11)! Seventh, if you weren’t there, you were missed by your church family and by LW (Heb. 10:24)! Eighth, everyone present on Sunday night saw the law of God and the love of God working together in perfect harmony (Gal. 6:1-2)! Ninth, great things happen on Sunday nights!
