Let's Go Back to the Bible

Keep Away from Children!

How interesting that within days of each other, two very different Bible story books for children were released! One book, written by two female “Reverends,” shares stories from the Bible, some of which they suggest (example: the story of Jonah) the Bible writers “imagined” or “made-up” and should not be taken as “literal.” WHAT?! The other book presents “guidance, instruction and wisdom” true to “the Word of God” for families, that they might have “an even greater appreciation for the power of God’s Word.” Which one of these do you want to bring into your home or the home of your grandkids?

Sometimes we are too quick to see a Bible “resource” that calls itself a “Bible book” and we unknowingly put it into the hands of someone who will unsuspectingly take it as “Bible.” That could be the hands of a child, a new Christian or even our own hands.

EVERY book we read outside of the Bible MUST be checked BY the Bible to ensure it is ALIGNED with the BIBLE! If it isn’t, KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN (Matt. 18:6; Acts 17:11; Rev. 22:18-19; Gal. 1:6-9; 1 John 4:1; 1 Pet. 4:11)!
