Let's Go Back to the Bible

Too good to be true?

You’ve no doubt heard others say it, and you’ve probably even said it yourself—“If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Advertisements, salespeople, donation seekers and spam emails can make something sound so good that you want to jump in with both feet. But, then sound reasoning sets in and you wisely hold off.

Here’s the problem: NOT everything too good to be true is actually too good to be true! Here’s the most important thing to hear: Your eternal salvation with God in heaven might sound too good to be true! The sacrificial price that Jesus paid for your sins might sound too good to be true! The unfathomable and indescribable love of God for you might sound too good to be true!

Here’s the second problem: Sometimes we hold ourselves back from this “good” news, like we do other “good” news.  How catastrophic! This GOOD NEWS is worth jumping in with both feet! Are you holding off? Have you only put in one foot? It’s time to give Him our all (Rom. 12:1)! His promises are too good for us, but not too good to be true!
