We complain (maybe brag sometimes) about how busy we are. It’s almost a necessity (or badge of honor) to appear that “I’m busier than ever” and “busier than most.” And because we are “so busy,” sometimes we “just can’t” do some things that we “need to do,” even if they are integral parts of living a Christ-centered, Christ-like life. Let me ask you—Do you think there has ever been a person on earth busier than Jesus? Did He have just a few things to get done in His short life? Did He have a lot of people demanding His time and attention?
Yet, Jesus found time to pray (Luke 5:16; 6:12), time to seek lost souls (John 4:1-42), time to gather with God’s people for worship and Bible study (Luke 4:16-27), time to eat with brethren (John 21:1-14), time to teach (Mark 14:49), time to help (Acts 10:38), time to comfort (John 11:17-37), time to encourage (John 21:15-19), time to serve (John 13:1-17), time for children (Mark 10:13-16), time to forgive (Luke 23:34), etc.
If you’re too busy to do the things integral to being like Jesus, you’re too busy!
