Our calendars are filled with tomorrows. And most of our tomorrows have something marked for us to do when those tomorrows come. “Tomorrow” always seems like “a good day” to do what we can’t get done “today.” While that may not be a big deal when it comes to getting gas or doing laundry or responding to an email, waiting until “tomorrow” to do what really matters can have an eternal impact on your soul.
Are you waiting until tomorrow to do what is necessary to be saved? God says, “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2). Are you waiting until tomorrow to fortify your faith and live the faithful Christian life? God pleads to do it “while it is called ‘Today’” (Heb. 3:13). Are you waiting until tomorrow to put the Lord’s will foremost in your life? God tells us that we “do not know what will happen tomorrow,” for our life is “even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (Jas. 4:13-14).
Your calendar is filled with tomorrows, but you are not promised a single one. What will you do TODAY, while you still have it?
