- Who Is This Man?
- He is God on this earth
- He possessed Divine knowledge (Matt. 21:2-3; Mark 11:2-6; Luke 19:43-44)
- He possessed Divine power (Luke 19:37; John 12:17-18)
- He is the Christ, the promised Messiah (Matt. 21:4-5, 9; John 12:14-15; Zech. 9:9)
- He is the Prophet, promised by Moses (Matt. 21:11; Deut. 18:15-19)
- He is the King, but not as they expected (Matt. 21:5; Mark 11:10; Luke 19:38; John 12:12-13)
- He is God on this earth
- What Do We See in This Man?
- We see His humility—lowly and riding on a donkey (Matt. 21:5)
- We see His compassion—weeping over the lost in Jerusalem (Luke 19:41-44)
- We see His worthiness—even stones would cry out praise to Him (Luke 19:39-40)
- We see His courage—going to a city that would reject and kill Him (Luke 19:28)
- What Must I Do with This Man?
- I need to obey Him as my Lord (Mark 11:3-6; Luke 19:31-34)
- I need to praise Him as my God and King (Luke 19:37-38)
- I need to lay my honor, my possessions and my will before Him (Luke 19:35-36)
- I need to receive Him for who He truly is, not merely for what I want Him to be (John 12:12-13; Matt. 21:9)
- I need to go after Him, even if the whole world does not(John 12:19)
- Have You Obeyed This Man?
- Believe Jesus is the Son of God – John 8:24
- Repent of your sins and turn toward God – Luke 13:3
- Confess your faith in Jesus Christ – Matthew 10:32
- Be baptized into Christ – Mark 16:16
- God will forgive all of your sins – Acts 2:38
- God will add you to His church – Acts 2:47
- God will register you in heaven – Hebrews 12:23
- Obey Him faithfully – Matthew 7:21
