- A COMMAND to Obey – The Parable of the Two Son (Matt. 21:28-32)
Words Must Become Obedience
- God is more pleased with a sinner who repents than with a religious person who only professes
- Regret is not enough unless it changes our direction (2 Cor. 7:10)
- Calling Jesus “Lord” is not the same as doing His will (Luke 6:46; Matt. 7:21)
- What we have been does not have to determine what we become
- A SON to Honor – The Parable of the Wicked Tenants (Matt. 21:33-46)
Privilege Must Produce Fruit
- Rejecting God’s Son did not/does not defeat God’s purpose (21:41-43)
- Spiritual privileges create responsibility, not immunity
- We are stewards, not owners
- God’s patience must not be mistaken for permission
- We cannot honor the Father while rejecting the Son
- Christ will either be:
the cornerstone upon Whom we build or the stone over Whom we fall
- An INVITATION to Accept – The Parable of the Marriage of the King’s Son (Matt. 22:1-14)
Grace Must Be Received on the King’s Terms

- Being near the feast is not the same as being ready for the feast
- We must personally “put on Christ” (Gal. 3:26-27)
- We must continue to “put on the Lord” in faithful living (Rom. 13:14)
- The gospel call is universal, but our response is individual
- Jesus Taught Three Parables That As Us Three Personal Questions
