Is your storage room at home or your utility room or your garage like mine? Do you have a bunch of tools in it? Maybe some new ones and definitely some old ones? Maybe even some that you don’t know exactly what they do, but you have them?
Yet, if you don’t use the tools, they cannot benefit you and they don’t have much a purpose but just to sit there.
I am reminded of the plethora of tools that we have at our disposable for Bible study, especially in this congregation. There are the tools of Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible classes. There are the tools of Bible tracts, pamphlets and booklets in our lobby. There are the personal evangelism tools for one-on-one studies. There are the tools of Bible study materials that our elders regularly provide for us. There is the massive tool of our website with its thousands of videos and articles. Of course, all of these are simply designed to get us into the Book more.
Our toolbox is full! How often do we open it and use them? They can’t help us if we don’t use them!
