Social media is an enjoyable way to keep up with our family and friends and all the fun, interesting or just random things that they are doing. Friends can see their friends on vacations, at celebrations, with their relatives, in selfies with random people, hanging out and eating at various places, etc. And your friends can see you doing the same kinds of things. They can know lots of things about you.
While your friends know a lot about you from your social media posts, would they know that you are a Christian? Would they know that you go to church? Would they know that you have a church family? Would they know that you read your Bible and do various activities because you are a Christian? Would they know that this (yes, this!) is the most important part of your life?
God expects His children to allow the world to “see your good works” (Matt. 5:16; 1 Pet. 2:11-12). Do we do that on social media? God expects His children to be identifiable by their love for their brethren (John 13:34-35). Do we do that on social media? Would people know that you are Christian?
